I added 1/2 cup each shredded Cheddar cheese and french fried onions, 1/4 cup mayo, and some white pepper to the casserole, then topped with another half cup each cheese and french fried onions. This seemed to punch up the flavor. I also used Velveeta shells and cheese so it was very creamy.

With the canned goods used additional salt is not needed, but I did add pepper to taste. I also microwaved frozen chopped onions and green peppers in the butter to speed up the prep time and effort. A different twist on tuna noodle casserole.
