What You Need

FAMOUS Chocolate Wafers, divided

cups cold milk

pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding

large black gumdrops

piece black shoestring licorice (12 inch), cut into 1-inch pieces

Make It

PLACE 10 of the wafers in large resealable plastic bag; seal bag. Use rolling pin to roll over wafers in bag until finely crushed. Break remaining 4 wafers in half; set side.

POUR milk into medium bowl. Add dry pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes or until well blended. Spoon 1/3 of the pudding evenly into 4 clear dessert cups; top each with about 1 Tbsp. of the crushed wafers. Repeat layers of pudding and crushed wafers; top with remaining pudding. Refrigerate at least 1 hour or until ready to serve.

DECORATE with gumdrops and licorice to resemble the antennae, stingers and eyes of bumble bees. Insert 2 of the reserved wafer halves into each cup for the "wings."

This was a very good recipe, it goes along the lines of a "dirt cup"/ "sand cup." All of which are excellent kid recipes. Instead of using black gumdrops as eyes i used brown m&m's, and also i replaced the black licorice, with rolled out tootsie rolls, which worked very well! Good recipe overall!

This was easy and fun to make. It is very tasty. My kids were able to make it themselves. We can't get chocolate wafer cookies in our area, so we substituted with chocolate graham crackers.

This is a quick and inexpensive desert to fix dinner. We all loved it.

My daughter made these for me for my birthday! They were great! Only thing is, they need to be eaten soon after setting up. The cookies can get really soggy.
