  • Cook hamburger patties in large nonstick skillet on medium heat 10 min. Turn hamburger patties; add peppers. Cook until hamburger patties are cooked through and peppers are crisp-tender, stirring peppers occasionally.
  • Add pasta sauce, water and chili powder. Bring to boil.
  • Stir in rice; cover. Reduce heat to low. Simmer 5 min. Sprinkle with cheese; cover. Let stand 5 min. before serving.

One thing that I liked about this recipe is the fact that the recipe was so quick, simple and easy to make. It hardly took any time at all! Another thing that I liked about the recipe was that the recipe required ingredients that I already had on hand! I didn't have to go grocery shopping for extra ingredients, thank goodness! :-) After I made this recipe, I couldn't believe how good it tasted! My friend and I LOVED it! The last thing I liked about this recipe is that it was a one-dish meal. The clean-up was a cinch! I will DEFINITELY be making this recpe again!

This is a good quick meal, and tastes kind of like ground beef steak with Spanish rice. But I had a hard time getting the hambruger patties to cook through...even had to put some of them in the microwave before seving them because the rest of it was done. Perhaps the instructions should say that the frozen patties should be thawed first.

I browned the hamb rather than making 4 patties and it made the dish go farther. Very good I have recommended to several of my friends and family that are on the go and all have told me how good it is.

I dont know if it was the combo of the rice and sauce or what, but the recipe didnt turn out like I had hoped it would. It just didnt go over that well with everyone, besides me and my husband, but then again he loves anything with spaghetti sauce!
