Fresh tomatoes and basil are key to this dish’s vibrant flavor. But it's the Italian dressing that really makes it sing. And you thought only a restaurant could pull this off.

My sister made this recipe except she increased the amount of Italian dressing and garlic to suit her taste. The outcome was fantastic and it was even better the next day at room temperature. While I am sure the original version of this recipe would be just as good, don't shy away from experimenting to fit your individual tastes! I want to make this real soon after tasting her version!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was quite tasty. This was quite tasty. When I saw this recipe, I immediately thought it would be perfect with shrimp. It sure was!! Oh, and for some reason I did not have italian dressing on hand, or much dressing at all for that matter. Who runs out of that?? Anyway, I used some balsamic vinaigrette mixed with a romano/italian dressing and it was excellent. MMmmm.... I want some more now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a regular in our house! This is a regular in our house! I marinate chicken breasts in some extra dressing, pan fry them, chop into bite size pieces and add when I mix everything together. We also love black olives in our family and add those, too! No need to spend the extra money on fresh basil, use dried basil or even your average "Italian Seasoning" in your pantry will do. Superb! We love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved this dish. I loved this dish. I used a whole box of pasta (only because I didnt know what the heck 1/2 a lb was!!), so I added more of the italian dressing. Other than that, I would suggest to those thinking about making this to do it - but save the cheese for each person's individual plate - it tends to melt into lumps of cheese!!!! I served with Mama Bella's garlic bread.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this is similar to my cheesy spagethette squash recipe. this is similar to my cheesy spagethette squash recipe. We love that recipe. I substituted swiss cheese for the mozzerella because I didn't have any mozzerella. I like the swiss cheese even better. My husband liked it which surprised me but it is a very good side dish or even a main dish if you don't want to have meat. If this recipe is as good as the spaghette squash and I don't see why it shouldn't be though I have not made this recipe yet I will make it. I expect it to be very good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So I totally messed up because I bought mint instead of basil (doh! So I totally messed up because I bought mint instead of basil (doh!) and didn't realize it until I was eating it, but the dish still turned out pretty well! Next time I make it, I will definitely use the basil which I'm sure will taste MUCH better than the mint. (I'm an idiot) Also, I will probably add more dressing like some other reviewers have stated. Oh, and basil....can't forget the basil. Did I mention basil? Basil!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe tastes amazing and is so easy to make. This recipe tastes amazing and is so easy to make. My husband asks for it all the time now. I used Ronzoni, Smart Tast Thin Spaghetti Pasta. Instead of the fresh basil, I use a 1/2 Tablespoon of prepared pesto from a jar. To save a few calories, I use Light Italian Dressing. Also, if I don't have grape or cherry tomatoes, I just dice up some regular tomatoes and it tastes great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've made this 3 times already and love it. I've made this 3 times already and love it. Each time I've made chicken with it. The last time I marinated the chicken in the dressing for a few hours, then cooked on the stove. I don't put the full onion in, but if you use a yellow or vadalia onion you won't get that strong onion flavor that some people don't like. White onions tend to be a little stronger in flavor.
