  • Arrange half the grahams in single layer on bottom of 13x9-inch pan, cutting grahams to fit if necessary.
  • Beat cream cheese in large bowl with mixer until creamy. Gradually beat in 1 cup milk. Add dry pudding mixes, coffee granules, cinnamon and remaining milk; beat 1 to 2 min. or until blended. (Mixture will be thick.) Gently stir in 2 cups COOL WHIP.
  • Spread half the pudding mixture over grahams in pan; cover with remaining grahams, pudding mixture and COOL WHIP. Sprinkle with grated chocolate. Freeze several hours or until firm.

Size Wise

Serve this easy frozen treat at your next celebration.

How to Thaw the COOL WHIP

Place unopened 8-oz. tub of COOL WHIP in the refrigerator for 4 hours. Do not thaw in the microwave.

Special Extra

For easy cleanup, line baking pan with foil using this easy method.  Turn pan upside down and fit a piece of foil over top of pan, smoothing corners as needed.  Remove foil.  When you turn the pan over, the foil fits perfectly inside the pan.

Substitute

Substitute 3 Tbsp. chocolate sprinkles for the grated chocolate.

Note

This luscious dessert can be frozen up to 24 hours before serving.

Using size pan given, it takes 15 grahams just for the bottom so must use add'l 15 for the layer. Additionally, It was hard deciding which boxes of pudding to use. Seems the sizes in which they come vary greatly. 4 seervings should be changed to how many ounces to use. I finally used two pkgs. each weighing 3.9 oz. and it came out just right. There are two things I will try next time and that will be to use a smaller pan and make more lawyers and also to add double the amount of coffee granules. My husband and I loved the recipe as neighbors whom I brought some to. I do wish Kraft would standarize the servings and/or amount of the small and the large pkgs of pudding!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe was very easy to follow. This recipe was very easy to follow. On the back of the box of the pudding, it tells you how many servings it makes. That is how you can tell which one to use in this recipe. (it is the small box) My only suggestion is that when you combine everything in the bowl to mix, that you do it quickly as the pudding sets up quick making it a little difficult to work with. Will make it again, and often! Also, I too added more coffee I used 1 and 1/2 TBSP.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great recipe and easy! Great recipe and easy! I used sugar-free pudding, 1% milk, low-fat cream cheese and low-fat Cool Whip ... everyone loved it. I found it hard to cut right out of the freezer and didn't like the texture of the dessert until I let it sit out for 15-20 minutes, although it doesn't state in the recipe that it should be removed from the freezer first. Could that be because I used low-fat ingredients?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great recipe. This is a great recipe. I used fat free cream cheese and sugar free pudding mixes and light cool whip to cut down on calories. It did not affect the out come of the bars. I had to substitute the instant coffee with 1 cup brewed extra strong coffee and omitted 1 cup of the milk. Came out perfect. I will make this again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a very good dessert! This is a very good dessert! My guests enjoyed the bars and requested that I make it again. It was very easy to make and can be made ahead of time. I did need to use more Cool Whip than the recipe called for. Tip -- Set out to thaw 15-20 minutes before cutting.

I thought this recipe was awesome, and so did my husband, who just happens to love coffee. (the whole reason why I made it) I really liked the fact that I could eat a small piece and be full. Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was great! This was great! I made this for a small dinner party and everyone raved about it. My husband isn't big on sweets, but I'd catch him going back for more. Maybe a bit more coffee for a real Cappuccino taste, but still very good!
