I followed the recipe exactly as it read, but the caramels were not melted into the rest of the dish, and when we ate it, the caramels were like little rocks. Glad I did not serve it to guests. Also, my daughter thought it was too sweet. Probably needs to be cooked longer but the top was browning nicely, so I took it out of the oven after (the suggested) 35 minutes and I thought it was done through and through. Maybe melt the caramels first or use caramel sauce instead of the candy and cook it a little longer.
