Directions need more clarity, but the end product was great. I did add 1/4 C flour to the topping crumble and whisked into small pieces before adding. This enabled more even and better coverage of topping...I also used two large Red Delicious Apples (a favorite) instead. Will definetly make again, and perhaps use 1/2 Tsp. Apple Pie Spice as an alternative.

I made this recipe using some premade caramel apple dip instead of the caramels, milk, and flour. It was still very liquid looking after 45 minutes, so I took it out to let it cool. It never formed squares, but I scooped it into small cups. It was delicious!! I will definitely try it again using the caramels.

Where does the 1/4 cup of flour go? It never uses it. You put the 1 cup flour in the oat mixture. Then later the directions refer to a flour mixture, then back to an oat mixture. So which is which?
