Healthy Living

Save 60 calories and 4g of fat per serving by preparing with reduced-fat vanilla wafers, margarine, PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese and 2 pkg. (1 oz. each) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Sugar Free Fat Free Instant Pudding.

Special Extra

For easy cleanup, line baking pan with foil using this easy method.  Turn pan upside down and fit a piece of foil over top of pan, smoothing corners as needed.  Remove foil.  When you turn the pan over, the foil fits perfectly inside the pan.

Keep the Apples from Turning Brown

After cutting the apples, minimize browning by dipping them in 1 cup water mixed with 1 Tbsp. lemon juice before using as directed.

Keeping it Safe

Refrigerate any leftovers.

I was kind of torn if it would turn out ok after tasting each layer (after I mixed it) but after I refrigerated it, topped with the apples, peanuts & caramel topping~it was GONE IN 10 MINUTES!!! I am soooooooo glad that I made 2 because my boys were whining because they didn't get enough from the first one! DEFINITELY a great change to your normal holiday desserts!!! (The only thing I would do differently is omit the red apple and just use green) AWESOME!!! Even my mother (who thinks everything she makes is the best) kept asking what it was called & where I got the recipe)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This was just plain nasty! This was just plain nasty! No one liked it. I don't know if it was the Nilla wafers or what, but it tasted like it had chemicals in it. I should have used graham crackers. And, I couldn't keep the apples from turning brown, no matter how much I soaked them in lemon juice. Not a winner with us this time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made this for a friend's bridal shower and everyone loved it! I made this for a friend's bridal shower and everyone loved it!! I used Heath toffee bits instead of chopped peanuts which turned out great. My only issue was that 1 tub of Cool Whip was not enough. I had to use an extra tub in order to cover the top. Would definitely make again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was so good and had a very seasonal feel with the apples on top. This was so good and had a very seasonal feel with the apples on top. Next time I will use caramel apple dip instead of caramel ice cream topping for a more caramel taste. It may have been the brand I bought though.

I took this to a church carry-in and everyone loved it and kept asking me for the recipe. I followed the recipe except found that i needed more milk than it calls for with the pudding and left out the nuts.
