Makeover - How We Did It
We took a favorite recipe and made some simple changes that will save you 140 calories and 9 grams of fat, including 6.5 grams of saturated fat, per serving. We reduced the amount of NILLA Wafers and used margarine instead of butter. In addition, we used fat-free milk, COOL WHIP Sugar Free Whipped Topping, JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Fat Free Sugar Free Instant Pudding and sugar-free caramel ice cream topping instead of full-fat products. These small changes make this dessert better for you without sacrificing the flavor.
Keep Apples from Turning Brown
After cutting the apples, minimize browning by dipping them in 1 cup water mixed with 1 Tbsp. lemon juice before adding to dessert.
