We enjoy this nut tart, and make it often. However, out of necessity I had to change up a few ingredients and decided I like my version better it's a touch creamier and very tasty. I substitute the cream with 1/4c sweetened cond milk and 1/4c butter, makes it very rich and creamy. I also leave out the cinnamon. Instant coffee gives it a great flavor. We use our own pecans so put 4 cups in a skillet and toast them with 1/4 cup butter and a touch of salt for 5-8 minutes. I've taken this tart to many gatherings and always been complemented especially by those who enjoy coffee. Prefer flavor of homemade graham crust over store bought, but it's handy when short of time.
This is SOOOO YUMMY! I didn't use grahm cracker for the crust since I thought it'd be too sweet. I didn't have any instant coffee, either. But it still tastes really good!
This recipe is so easy! I'v already made it twice, it sooo delicious.
