Caramel Nut Tart

This is SOOOO YUMMY! I didn't use grahm cracker for the crust since I thought it'd be too sweet. I didn't have any instant coffee, either. But it still tastes really good!

What You Need

1-1/4

cups HONEY MAID Graham Cracker Crumbs

1/4

cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, melted

Tbsp. brown sugar

1/4

tsp. ground cinnamon

KRAFT Caramels

1/3

cup whipping cream

Tbsp. MAXWELL HOUSE Instant Coffee, any variety

cups chopped PLANTERS Pecans, toasted

oz. BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate

Make It

HEAT oven to 325°F.

MIX first 4 ingredients; press onto bottom and 1 inch up side of 9-inch springform pan. Bake 10 min. or until lightly browned. Cool.

MICROWAVE caramels, cream and coffee granules in large microwaveable bowl on MEDIUM (50%) 2 to 3 min. or until caramels are completely melted, stirring after each minute. Stir in nuts; spread onto bottom of crust.

REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm. Melt chocolate as directed on package; drizzle over tart. Refrigerate until firm.

How to Easily Drizzle Melted Chocolate

Spoon melted chocolate into small plastic bag. Fold down top of bag; snip a tiny piece off one bottom corner. Holding top of bag tightly, drizzle chocolate back and forth over tart.

I love to make this recipe just because everyone loves to eat it. I also love the fact that you can make this yummy dessert way ahead. I've used decaffeinated coffee, since I have been making this recipe for the after dinner dessert.

I love this recipe, it is easy and fast, plus the kids can help! It also tastes very very good, the only thing I do different is I add instant cappuccino instead of the coffee, I like the flavor it adds a little more. You have to try this recipe!

This pie looked and sounded so wonderful, I just couldn't wait to try it. I love caramel. I left out the coffee because we do not like it. We were disappointed--the pie was way too sweet for us. Maybe it would be better without the sugar in the crust, since there's already so much sugar in the caramels. Or maybe if less caramels are used.

I served this on Thanksgiving and everyone loved it! It is like candy though, so you don't need much per serving. I will definately make this again.

VERY YUMMY! I would add a bit more cream next time-it was a bit too stiff!
