Caramelized Almonds

I thought this sounded too easy. It was very easy and was very good. I added these to the strawberry salad and was just the right touch for a little added crunch.

what you need

cup PLANTERS Sliced Almonds

Tbsp. sugar

Make It

TOSS almonds with sugar in nonstick skillet; cook on medium-high heat until sugar is caramelized, stirring frequently.

SPREAD into single layer on greased baking sheet or sheet of wax paper; cool at least 1 hour.

BREAK into small pieces. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.

I have never used any other recipe to caramelize almonds before, so I can't really say that this is the best way to do it...but I can say that it worked for me and it was really easy. I use the caramelized almonds in my white chocolate clusters and they are very tasty.

We love make up and to keep in freezer so we can have caramelized almonds any time for our salads. That is if we can keep from eating them as a snack.

I did not kow how caramelized things would look when finished,, so when I was done cooking the almods, I added half a teaspoon of water, and a tablesoon of sugar again, and it tasted perfct! Thanks for this great and heathly snack!

I USED WHOLE ALMONDS AND ADDED A DASH OF CINNAMON. EVERYONE WANTED TO KNOW WHERE I BOUGHT THESE!

I stirred up a batch at the very last second before my Bible study ladies group and they raved about it for a week, especially after I told them how easy it was! Yummy Yummy!

I absolutely loved this recipe. I always buy carmelized almonds in the mall and now I don't have to go there to get some!
