Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • Mix all ingredients except chicken in small shallow dish until well blended.
  • Dip chicken in dressing mixture, turning to evenly coat both sides of each piece. Place in single layer in large baking dish. Refrigerate 1 hour.
  • Heat grill to medium heat. Grill chicken 40 to 45 min. or until done (165ºF), turning frequently.

How to Prevent Sticking

To prevent chicken from sticking to the grill, spray the unheated grill grate away from the fire with cooking spray or brush with oil.

Use Your Broiler

Season and refrigerate chicken as directed. Place on rack of broiler pan. Broil, 6 inches from heat, 40 to 45 min. or until chicken is done (165ºF), turning occasionally.

This isn't even CLOSE to jerk chicken. I don't know what it should be called, but if you want authentic jerk chicken, look on youtube for a Jamaican chef video blogger showing you how to do it. This has almost none of the key ingredients (it doesn't even have allspice, ?!?!?!?!), and what's with the salad dressing mix and soy sauce, KRAFT? *shakes head*

I had to add water to the marinade make it less thick, about 1/3 cup. Then placed the chicken in a ziploc bag with marinade. Worked great!
