Substitute

Substitute 1/2 cup MIRACLE WHIP Dressing mixed with 2 Tbsp. CLAUSSEN Sweet Pickle Relish for the Thousand Island dressing.

Special Extra

Mix ingredients as directed; pack into 6-cup ring mold. Refrigerate as directed. To serve, unmold onto serving plate. Fill center with cherry tomatoes.

It's best when made the night or even a full day before so that all the ingredients can chill together. We love the Kraft Sandwich Spread so we knew we would probably like this salad. We left out the green pepper since not many liked peppers and it still turned out great! I had many compliments and since it's so easy we will definitely make this one again! Try it, you'll love it! (side note) the sandwich spread is great in egg salad!

I made this recipe for the first time today to take on camping trip, let me tell you it is absolutely delicious!!! I highly recommend you try this, I was skeptical about the sandwich spread, but after you put it in WOW, pack a punch, I also added cubes of bacon cheese, Please people try it, you won't be sad, it will be your bring along dish for years to come, finger spoon lickin good! I think the next time I make it I probably won't use the peppers because that was overpowering to me and I didn't use that much to begin with. Minus the peppers, I thought it was a good dish. I took it to a work picnic and there were hardly any leftovers.

Out of five adults and two kids trying this recipe, only one adult thought it was just fair. The other adults rated it very good. One child did not like it and the other thought it was "ok". I would definately make it again. It's a change from the traditional salad I make and very easy.

Added a little onion chopped fine, some celery, green pepper, and some sweet bread and butter pickles chopped fine. My husband loved it. Especially good the next day after chilled in the refrigerator. Had it with hamburger patties. Yum.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Initially, I wasn't real sure about the Sandwich Spread. Initially, I wasn't real sure about the Sandwich Spread. But after tasting it, I was pleasantly surprised. I've only eaten one helping, so I may cube some cheese and add a little cucumber to it when I take it to work tomorrow. A very good, easy, and versatile recipe overall.
