Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made this to try their version. I made this to try their version. However, I have used catalina dressing for almost 20 years to make grilled chicken. Combine equal parts catalina dressing with ketchup. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, teriyaki and worsterchire (spelling is off, sorry) sauce. Combine well. Set some aside for basting. Marinate chicken for 2-4 hours depending on how strong you want it. I've actually marinated it in the morning and made it for dinner before- yum! Grill, baste, taste…enjoy! I usually serve this with corn on the cob and either rice or baked potato.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made this last night with 3# of bone in chicken thighs and it was Fabulous! Made this last night with 3# of bone in chicken thighs and it was Fabulous!!! I doubled the recipe for the sauce so there was extra to put on brown rice! I marinated the chicken meat side down(some reviewers said the chicken itself was bland)for 4 hours and the meat was tasty and tender. Since I am a fan of sweet and savory, this was awesome. My 20yr old son said it tasted like Gen Tso, me too! Will def make again and again!

For some reason she called it Hawaiian Chicken but regardless of the name it's delicious every time!Years ago I made it with Kraft Red Russian dressing but when it got discontinued I switched to Catalina and haven't been disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My teenage daughter made this several times while I was at work. My teenage daughter made this several times while I was at work. It is extremely good and easy to make. Imagine my surprise when I found out she used Ranch mix instead of onion mix. We have never made it with the onion mix as every picky eater in my family loves the version my daugher makes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I make this, we call it crazy chicken because of the ingredients. I make this, we call it crazy chicken because of the ingredients. I dont do the preprep though of browning the chicken in a skillet. Just mix the dressing, jam and onion soup mix and pour it over the chicken and bake it in the oven for about 45 mins. Comes out great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was surprised at how good this was. I was surprised at how good this was. The ingredients don't sound like they would go well together but they certainly do! Since I'm solo, I only made 1 serving, which is 1 Tbsp each dressing and jam and 1/2 Tbsp onion soup mix. Will def make again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have made this dish since the early 1990's. Have made this dish since the early 1990's. It was a little different. I cut chicken or pork into pieces and sauteed in a little olive oil with sliced onions and green/red peppers. Pour the Catalina dressing along with a little water over all
