Cheddar Apple Pie Dip

What You Need

1/4

cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/4

tsp. ground cinnamon

each: red and green apple, finely chopped (about 2 cups)

1/2

cup PLANTERS Walnut Pieces, coarsely chopped

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1-1/2

cups KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

1/2

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

WHEAT THINS Original Snacks

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in medium bowl. Add apples and walnuts; toss until evenly coated. Set aside.

MIX cream cheese and Cheddar cheese in medium bowl. Add sour cream; stir until well blended. Spread into 9-inch pie plate; top with apple mixture.

BAKE 20 minutes or until heated through. Serve with WHEAT THINS.

I made this for a Christmas cocktail party and people devoured it. It's very creamy and festive looking. It is rich.

It was very good, but not well received. It was time consuming in preparation. I loved it, but my family said it was their least favorite of the appetizers that I made for or Christmas dinner. I most likely will not make again. I had at least half a pie plate left, after serving 9.

This is a Mabey. I made this for a holiday party. & Everyone tried it, but that was it. Only about 2 people out of everyone sat and nibble on it all night, which when I left still had alot left! So I'm not sure if I will make this again. People said it would be better if it was on ice cream. & I agree!

I love this recipe too! Everyone loves it when i make it! Lots have asked for the recipe. I like to use pecans instead of walnuts and save a little of the cheddar to sprinkle on top

Awesome recipe! It has gone over well both times I have made it. Will be making it for Super Bowl party. Very good with Brown Sugar Ritz.
