  • Heat broiler.
  • Cut thin slice from bottom of each tomato half; discard. Place tomatoes on rack of broiler pan; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Combine bread crumbs, cheese and butter; spoon over tomatoes. Sprinkle with paprika.
  • Broil, 4 inches from heat, 4 min. or until cheese is melted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW these were great! WOW these were great!!! Made these for my son and I last night for dinner, and we both loved them. I don't even eat veggies and I loved these. I heated then up in the oven for a little bit before putting them into the broiler. Will try expermenting with these, Maybe next time with blue cheesecould also try putting some good seasoning on them to. So many different ways to make these!!

They were all ripe, but I didn't have time to can.....what do I do with all of them? Then I saw this recipe. It was great and we have used up a lot tomatoes using it.
