Cheddar Broiled Tomatoes

Cheddar Broiled Tomatoes recipe

A topping of fresh bread crumbs, shredded Cheddar and melted butter is sprinkled over fresh tomato halves, then broiled for a tasty summer side dish.

What You Need

large  tomatoes, cut in half
tsp.  salt
tsp.  pepper
cup  fresh bread crumbs
cup  KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
cup  (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, melted
tsp.  paprika

Make It

HEAT broiler.

CUT thin slice from bottom of each tomato half; discard. Place tomatoes on rack of broiler pan; sprinkle with salt and pepper.

COMBINE bread crumbs, cheese and butter; spoon over tomatoes. Sprinkle with paprika.

BROIL, 4 inches from heat, 4 min. or until cheese is melted.
