Cheddar-Potato Pie

Cheddar-Potato Pie recipe

Ground beef, onion and steak sauce are simmered then spooned into a casserole, topped with cheesy mashed potatoes and baked for a hearty entrée.

What You Need

lb.  lean ground beef
1
 onion, chopped
1/3
cup  A.1. Original Sauce
2
cups  hot mashed potatoes
1
cup  KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

BROWN meat with onions in large skillet; drain. Add A.1.; bring to boil. Spoon into 1-1/2-qt. baking dish.

MIX potatoes and cheese; spread evenly over meat mixture.

BAKE 12 to 15 min. or until heated through (165°F).

Substitute
Prepare using lean ground turkey or extra-lean ground beef.
Keeping it Safe
To thaw frozen ground beef safely, keep meat wrapped and thaw on bottom shelf of refrigerator, not on countertop.
Serving Suggestion
Serve with a steamed green vegetable, such as broccoli, and glass of fat-free milk.
