Cheddar shines in bread that’s moist and a snap to make. No wonder it’s called Cheddar Quick Bread. Warm leftovers in a toaster oven for a real treat.

What You Need

cups  flour

Tbsp.  sugar
1-1/2
tsp.  CALUMET Baking Powder
1/4
tsp.  salt
1/4
cup  cold butter or margarine, cut up
1
pkg.  (8 oz.) CRACKER BARREL Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1
 egg, beaten
1
cup  milk

Make It

HEAT oven to 400°F.

MIX dry ingredients in medium bowl; cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cheese. Add combined egg and milk; stir just until moistened.

SPOON into greased and floured 9x5-inch loaf pan.

BAKE 45 min or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 min. Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely.
