Cheesy Bacon Meatloaf

Let's be real: We love anything wrapped in bacon. And deliciously cheesy, super-simple meatloaf is no exception. Here's hoping for leftovers.

What You Need

lb. extra-lean ground beef

egg, beaten

cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1/4

cup milk

1/4

cup dry bread crumbs

Tbsp. finely chopped onions

1/2

tsp. each garlic powder and dried oregano leaves

1/8

tsp. cracked black pepper

slices OSCAR MAYER Fully Cooked Bacon

Make It

HEAT oven to 400°F.

MIX all ingredients except bacon.

SHAPE into loaf in 9x5-inch loaf pan; top with bacon.

BAKE 45 min. or until done (160ºF). Let stand 5 min. before removing from pan and slicing to serve.

Serve this cheesy entree with a mixed green salad and hot steamed vegetable, such as green beans.

Fun Idea

For an attractive presentation, arrange bacon slices in criss-cross pattern on top of meatloaf before baking.

Keeping it Safe

Cook meatloaf until instant-read thermometer inserted into center of loaf registers 160°F, or when center of loaf is no longer pink.

I have made this recipe at least three times, and I and my family love it. It is so good. I used turkey bacon on mine and it turned out just perfect. I absoulty will make this many more times.

It was quick, easy, and good. All 3 of my kids liked it. It was a little dry so I served it with ketchup and was really good.

I tried this recipe and found it bland and a little dry. It could definately use some type of sauce. Maybe it will be better for meatloaf sandwiches

Deliscious I used uncooked bacon and used italian sandwich bread for crumbs and baked in my perfect meatloaf pan.Will make again for sure.

This meatloaf never makes it to the leftover stage in our house. Although I would suggest using uncooked bacon and slightly cooking it in the pan a bit rather than the pre-cooked bacon. Otherwise it comes out very crispy.

My husband really liked this meatloaf. I made a couple of changes, turkey instead of beef, added some onion, used Good Seasons Italian Dressing mix for the seasoning salt, used nonfat Kraft Grated Cheddar Cheese. It turned out pretty good, but I did not use the meat thermometer and I should of. I just let it bake for an hour and it was pretty dry, so next time I will definitely use the thermometer. My husband thought I should make it a little bigger add more turkey. I will probably tweak the recipe a little more, but we basically liked it.

My family loved this meatloaf! We didn't have any seasoned salt, oregano, or cheddar cheese. So I used Italian Seasonings, Rosemary, and Mozzarella cheese instead. Turned out absolutely amazing!
