I used the chicken breasts and because I live in So.CA (was 70 today)I BBQed the chicken, adding the bbq sauce on the last turn. I did add canned whole green chili's (one per sandwich), lettus and tomatoes....YUMMY!!! But, that is my family preferance. I would definetly make this again and again!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I had chicken drumsticks leftover so I shredded it and added it to the pan with the cooked onions. I had chicken drumsticks leftover so I shredded it and added it to the pan with the cooked onions. Then added BBQ sauce and melted the cheese right in the pan. It was a delicious sandwich, like a pulled chicken recipe. I also added a splash of vinegar to cut the sweetness of the BBQ sauce.

I had leftover pieces of grilled chicken and pulled it apart, put it in skillet with onions, added barbeque sauce, let it simmer, put it on a bun, topped it with cheese. Excellent sandwich. Better than the chicken salad I was intending to do!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really tasty. Really tasty. Used thighs instead of breasts, added a little Frank's hot sauce to the BBQ sauce and used Kraft regular sharp chedder ILO 2%. Served on whole wheat Kaiser rolls with a little chopped lettuce. An easy BBQ chicken sandwich.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent chicken sandwich! Excellent chicken sandwich! I used two onions and more bbq sauce then called for. I didn't have shredded cheese, so used one Kraft single on each chicken breast. Served with roasted cauliflower. Will definitely make again. Yummy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This recipe was very simple to make and my family enjoyed it. This recipe was very simple to make and my family enjoyed it. The only problem I had was I needed more cooking time for the chicken. By the time it was done, the barbecue sauce had drizzled off the sides.
