  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Bring 1 qt. (4 cups) water to boil in large saucepan on medium-high heat. Add broccoli; cook 3 min. or until crisp-tender. Drain.
  • Combine broccoli, remaining water and all remaining ingredients in 8-inch square baking dish; cover.
  • Bake 20 to 25 min. or until heated through.

Substitute

Substitute 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese for the VELVEETA.

Really wasn't dying about this recipe, my broccoli came out mushy too but I like it that way and I also used shredded cheddar cheese. I don't know why but it just didn't taste very good, everyone else thought so too. Maybe it was the bacon bits, either way I won't be making this again anytime soon.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broccoli came out too soft. Broccoli came out too soft. I used shredded cheddar cheese instead of the velveeta and didn't care for that! The cheese did not melt, just got crunchy. I will try again with the velveeta and I will not pre-cook the broccoli as directed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from YUMMY! YUMMY!! Family all loved. Made with Velveeta, not sure how regular cheddar would taste. Make sure not to overbake because it will get crunchy around the edges. Spray your pan 1st to avoid sticking.
