  • Bring large saucepan of water to boil on high heat. Add noodles and chicken; cook 8 min. or until chicken is done and noodles are tender, adding broccoli to the boiling water for the last 6 min. Drain.
  • Return noodle mixture to pan. Add broth, cream cheese and mayo; mix well. Bring just to boil on medium-low heat; cook 2 to 3 min. or until cream cheese is completely melted and sauce is well blended, stirring constantly.
  • Add shredded cheese; cook and stir 1 min. or until melted.

Variation

I read some of the other comments about how flavorless the dish was...I made this a little differently and it turned out very flavorful. Instead of putting the chicken in with the noodles, try cooking the chiken in a skillet with a little bit of olive oil and some of your favorite seasonings. Then add the chicken in with the noodles when you add the cream cheese and mayo. This helped with flavor a lot and made it much more enjoyable. We really liked this dish and will make it again!

We made a few changes - I multiplied the recipe by 1.5 but used the entire brick of cream cheese. I added salt, pepper, garlic powder. onion powder and about 1 TBSP of chicken soup base to the sauce mix to jazz it up a bit. I cooked the chicken with the noodles and broccoli but cooked them in 1/2 water, 1/2 broth to add some flavor. It was really quick and easy and would not be hard to adapt with different seasonings/vegetables.

I made some changes in this recipe, first I sauted the chicken and brocolli with onion in olive oil, boiled the noodles and added them when the chicken was cooked. For the sauce, I used the mayo and cream chesse, both low fat, and added the whole can of chicken broth and one and a half cups of cheese. Next time I will use an assortment of cheeses. The family did like this dish very much.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made this for my elderly mom who is pretty picky. I made this for my elderly mom who is pretty picky. She loved it. I used reduced fat cream cheese, and it needed MUCH more chicken broth. I added sauted onions at the end. Plus, I did not add the broccoli during the cooking process. I just defrosted it with warm water in a colander. Then I just drained the chix and pasta over the broccoli and it was cooked through. I will make again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I really liked this. I really liked this. Instead of the broccoli, I used a bag of frozen mixed veggies with carrots, peas, green beans, and corn in it. I also added more cream cheese, more broth, onion powder, and garlic salt to mine. And I added a good bit extra cheddar cheese. I can't wait to see if my VERY picky husband eats it when he gets in from work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Definitely, sautee the chicken separately. Definitely, sautee the chicken separately. I added McCormicks Montreal Chicken seasoning to the sauteed chicken. I also used chicken boullion instead of broth (adds more salt but better flavor) I seasoned the noodles w/ salt while boiling, and added more sharp cheese than was recommended, AMAZING.... my guy had seconds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What an easy quick dish! What an easy quick dish! I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs instead of the chicken breasts, as that is what I had on hand. I did season it a bit with salt and pepper. I also used fat-free cream cheese, low fat cheddar cheese and low fat chicken broth and the recipe turned out just fine. I will make this again.

I recommend adding more cream cheese, using velveeta instead of shredded cheese and adding seasoning if you want to try this recipe. This was just not good at all - and it makes a ton so you might want to 1/2 the recipe if your only making it for 2.
