What You Need

lb. extra-lean ground beef

each green pepper and onion, chopped

Tbsp. chili powder

1/2

tsp. ground cumin

1/4

tsp. crushed red pepper

can (15 oz.) kidney beans, rinsed

can (28 oz.) fire-roasted diced tomatoes, undrained

can (15 oz.) tomato sauce

1-1/2

cups KRAFT Mexican Style Shredded Four Cheese with a TOUCH OF PHILADELPHIA

Make It

BROWN meat in large saucepan on medium heat; drain. Add peppers, onions and seasonings; cook 5 to 6 min. or until vegetables are crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.

ADD all remaining ingredients except cheese; mix well. Cover; simmer on low heat 30 min., stirring occasionally.

SERVE topped with cheese.

Special Extra

Garnish each serving with 1 Tbsp. BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream and a light sprinkling of chopped fresh chives or cilantro.

Add More Heat

For a spicier chili, add 1 small chopped jalapeno pepper or a few drops of hot pepper sauce along with the other seasonings.

Substitute

Substitute thawed frozen LOUIS RICH Pure Ground Turkey for the ground beef.

I do this recipe over and over again. As a man living by himself, this is a reliable source of cheap nutrition. It taste so good that it feeds my soul too. To save money, I drop the cheese and spices, and opt for seasons tomato sauce. Until I can buy cheap spices.

I rated this recipe 3 stars because it was good, but nothing special. There are definately better chili recipes out there.

This is one of the best chili recipes I've had. My whole family loved it with the cornbread biscuits.

This was great, and even better as leftovers! I couldn't find the cheddar Crumbelievables in my grocery store, so I used shredded cheddar instead. It worked just as well!
