I made this for the Super Bowl party my husband and I attended and received so many compliments! It not only looked great and fun, but it tasted wonderful! I don't like nuts in food so I left off the last instruction to roll in chopped nuts. No one knew the recipe called for nuts and they still loved it! Two thumbs up! This was wonderful :) It's already a request for our next gathering!

I have not had time to try this yet, as I just registered here a few minutes ago, but I like the ingredients and ease of preperation. I especially like making cakes, and sometimes like to cook elaborate, but mostly like quick and easy. I love to entertain, but do not do this very often. Like the idea of getting recipes by e-mail. Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My son plays football and we had an out of state tournament a few weeks back. My son plays football and we had an out of state tournament a few weeks back. I made this at home, put it on a football field tray, & it traveled great. It was a huge hit. Everyone loved it and wanted the recipe, all the dads gobbled it up while they played cards. I doubled the recipe and used bacon to cover it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sooo good! Sooo good! Made this for the superbowl, everyone loved it, and I looked like Martha Stewart! haha. seriously though it was excellent! I did the bacon too- tasted great! I loved the pimentos on top, thinking about next time, chopping up more roasted red peppers and mixing that in too, gives it a pimento-cheese taste!

My husband got a great kick out of the "football" he loved it and my 3 yr old loved it too. I rolled mine in bacon bits as the nuts are still a choking hazard for my kids and it was sooo tasty. I had leftovers so I spread the cheese on a cracker and warmed it in the microwave for a few seconds and it tasted great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Half was gone within minutes. Half was gone within minutes. I would recommend a more sturdy cracker than the Ritz, though. I had a few comments that the outer nut layer could have been different, but I haven't seen any good alternatives. Had family fighting over who got to take the leftovers home, so this is definitely a Super Bowl staple!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Three people at the Superbowl party said it was the best cheese ball they've ever had! Three people at the Superbowl party said it was the best cheese ball they've ever had! It was very hard getting it into a football shape though, but once you do, it tastes great! I used roasted red bell peppers for the laces and served with crackers and roasted garlic. The roasted garlic was a hit too!
