Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super quick and easy to put together. Super quick and easy to put together. Like a lot of other people, I use leftover ham and mayo instead of the dressing. Use whatever frozen veggies you have on hand. I've tried mixed veggies and chopped spinach and both times it turned out great. I still like peas the best though.

I didn't have shredded cheese so i used velveta. Someone commented it took the rice a long time to cook, I used minute rice, and didnt have a problem, but i usually cook recipes longer than they say.

I used leftover ham, mayo (instead of miracle whip - didn't have any on hand) garlic powder, pepper, and a little onion. I also used cream of celery instead of mushroom. It was ok. My husband really liked it. I think it also could have used more peas.

I used broccoli instead of peas, I sauted some chopped onion and garlic in a little butter and added. I also added some salt and pepper. My husband asked that next time I make this to add more cheese mixed in, I will probably add a jar of cheese whiz.

I enjoyed this recipe because it was quick, easy, and can be created with a variety of substitutions. I'd like to make it again, though I plan to mix shredded cheese in with the rest of the ingredients since it needed a little more flavor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe is so simple, but so good! This recipe is so simple, but so good!! I absolutely LOVED it. I'd eat it every day! (I replaced the ham in the recipe with leftover holiday ham, but I don't think the difference is significant enough to change my opinion of the dish.)
