After reading the previous reviews I did a few things differently.I used 2 boxes of mac n cheese instead of just 1.I also added more variety of veggies not just the green beans zucchini and corn went splendidly with the green beans and meat.Instead of using just a regular can of diced tomatoes I used 2 cans of ORIGINAL ROtel diced tomatoes and green chilies.I added some garlic salt and it came out absolutely terriffic my family enjoyed the spruced up version.Perhaps if you get creative with a new recipe instead of just going with the exact recipe you'd enjoy it more like we did. Spruce it up to your tastes and have fun with it.Thanks for providing an easy add to recipe:)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from i'm sorta "eh" about this recipe. i'm sorta "eh" about this recipe. i made a few adjustments based on the recommendations of other members. (i added more spices & herbs to add more flavor, substiuted fresh tomatoes, zucchini, corn & red pepper for the green beans.) this is one ofthose strange recipes that you taste and think: 'i don't hate it, but i don't love it either.' i think it's a good way to get most kids to eat more veggies - though mine weren't convinced by the mac & cheese topping (they just ate it off of the top). it reminded me of shepherd's pie with mac & cheese instead of mashed potatoes on top.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I would make this recipe again. I would make this recipe again. however I would use tomatoes already seasoned with the oregano, garlic and basil. By using the plain tomatoes (per Recipe) and adding the fresh herbs and garlic, I thought the dish was rather bland. It did make a large serving. It was enough to feed my husband, myself, my grandchildren and friends and four co-workers. Would be a great dish to make for large family gatherings. Thanks for all the great recipies and ideas.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I loved this, and thought the meat mixture was delicious. I loved this, and thought the meat mixture was delicious. However, the rest of my family thought it was too tomato-y. Next time, I will use only a 14-oz. can of tomatoes or use a tomato or spaghetti sauce, so that it's not so full of tomato chunks. Of course, this is personal preference, because I loved it just the way it was. The garlic and oregano were a great addition to the casserole.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We really loved this dish. We really loved this dish. Making it was easy, the aroma in the house was great AND it looks like so much work went into it but was one of the easier meals I have made. ALSO I had some left over meat mixture and my sister ate it in a peice of bread as a snack and said it was great just like that, I ate the meat mixture over a baked potatoe and was wonderful. I really liked it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My family and I really enjoyed this recipe. My family and I really enjoyed this recipe. Instead of using the craft macaroni and cheese, I made home made macaroni and cheese using 2 cups of uncooked shell pasta, 1/2 cup od whole milk, 1/4 cup of margarine and 6 oz of Velveeta Cheese product. It tasted much better this way. Of course my family also prefers home made over boxed mac and cheese.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe was great! This recipe was great! I substituted ground chicken for the ground beef. I also used the diced tomatoes already flavored with basil, garlic and oregano, and left out the minced garlic and oregano leaves. I didn't thaw the green beans completely, which put in a nice "crunch" to the dish. My husband and I loved it, and the leftovers were perfect!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It was easy enough to make and sounded good on paper, but I found the ingredients did not go... It was easy enough to make and sounded good on paper, but I found the ingredients did not go together to make it tasty. I thought the cheeses would melt into the meat, and the cheese did not mix well w/the tomatos. My daughter soldiered through 3 bites and said "this is bad mom!" Also, it looked unapetizing as a leftover in the fridge.
