  • Drain potatoes; return to saucepan. Add CHEEZ WHIZ and milk; mash to desired consistency.
  • Add remaining ingredients; mix well.

Storage Know-How

Cool, then refrigerate any leftovers. To reheat, spoon potatoes into microwaveable bowl; cover with waxed paper. Microwave on HIGH 3 to 4 min. or until heated through.

I have made this recipe several times but used cubed red potatoes (skins left on) instead. I also had to adjust the sourcream because the cubed potatoes seemed to obsorb more. Adjusted the cheese to sharp cheddar and added more bacon and green onion( dehydrated chives work well if you dont have fresh green onions on hand) It is requested often, a real favorite for my family.

Just added spoonfulls of cheese sauce and milk until I liked the texture and taste. My husband said this has to be a weekly side dish now. Fine with me, it was that easy and good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are our favorite potatoes to date! These are our favorite potatoes to date! My b/f said they are even better than his mom makes (shhhh!) :-) I had to boil them for about 35 minutes before they were soft enough for our liking but that's ok, it all worked out well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's very good, but as do all potatoes, it cools off fast. It's very good, but as do all potatoes, it cools off fast. Once it cools off, it's not very good, so you have to eat them quickly or you've wasted the time making them.
