  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Mix meat, 2/3 cup cheese, 1/4 cup ketchup and garlic powder; shape into 12 balls. Place, 4-inches apart, on foil-covered baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray; flatten each into 1/2-inch-thick patty.
  • Bake 15 min. or until done (160ºF); drain.
  • Spread patties with remaining ketchup. Top with remaining cheese; bake 5 min. or until melted. Serve over rice.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with steamed stir-fry vegetables.

Fun Idea

Omit rice. Serve burgers in mini pitas.

Substitute

Substitute KRAFT or BULL'S-EYE Barbecue Sauce for the ketchup.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I made the recipe as it was. I made the recipe as it was. I was disappionted in the taste of the burgers. I have two kids and usually anything having to do with burgers is a hit. The meat was lacking a little flavor for our taste. I would add more seasonings in addition to the garlic if I made it again but I do not think I will end up cooking this one again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I approached the recipe a little different. I approached the recipe a little different. I substituted the garlic powder with another set of spices called Five Fiery spices and worcestershire sauce. I used Spanish rice instead of white. It was hit with my sister and Mom.
