Cheesy Miracle Asparagus

What You Need

lb. fresh asparagus spears, trimmed

1/3

cup water

1/4

cup MIRACLE WHIP Dressing

1/4

cup milk

1/2

cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Make It

MICROWAVE asparagus and water in covered 2-qt. microwaveable casserole on HIGH 5 to 6 min. or until asparagus is crisp-tender; drain.

MIX remaining ingredients in microwaveable bowl. Microwave 2 min. or until cheese is melted and sauce is well blended, stirring after each minute. Serve over asparagus.

My family enjoyed it, but it was just a little too much miracle whip, I think the next time I will decrease the amount of miracle whip and increase the amount of cheese,

Very easy, but not my favorite. I perfer sauted asparagus, but the cheese sauce helped and also was very good on a baked fish I made.

I am going to make this recipe, however, I will not use the microwave to do the Asparagus, I think I will steam it.

I really haven't made Asparagus but one time and my husband loves it. So I tried this recipe tonight. I didn't have cheddar cheese so I improvised and used parmsean cheese in place. He raved about the great taste and I was surprised at how easy it was to make this way!

I made this using chopped provolone cheese because I didn't have any shredded cheddar. I also added some ground black pepper to the mixture and it was awesome!!
