What You Need

tsp. oil

lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, chopped

2-1/2

cups water

zucchini, chopped

small onion, chopped

Tbsp. chopped fresh oregano

pkg. (14 oz.) KRAFT Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese Dinner

can (14-1/2 oz.) stewed tomatoes, undrained

Make It

HEAT oil in Dutch oven or large deep skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook and stir 5 min. or until browned.

ADD water, vegetables, oregano and Macaroni. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 12 min. or until macaroni is tender.

STIR in Cheese Sauce and tomatoes; cook until heated through, stirring occasionally.

Substitute 2 tsp. dried oregano leaves for the fresh oregano.

Hubby loved this, which I thought was interesting, since I thought it was only passable. The "Deluxe" mac & cheese gives it a very Velveeta like flavor, which I am not a fan of. I may try it with the regular mac & cheese and just use two boxes and add some milk to reconstitute the cheese packet.

Yummy! Very kid-friendly! I did not have stewed tomatoes, so I used plain diced tomatoes. That left the dish a little bland, so I added grated parmesan cheese and garlic powder, and that fixed it right up. I will be making this again.

This recipe was so easy and sooooo delicious! I loved that it made enough to have left overs for my husband to take to work. I will definitely make this meal again. Perfect for moms who do not have lots of time to cook dinner with a toddler on your leg :)

Made it the first time as directed. Everyone loved it. The next time I used ground beef in place of the chicken for a little variety.
