This was a very tasty sandwhich. My boyfriend and I could only eat half of it, so we had some for lunch the next day. We used swiss cheese slices instead and omitted the green pepper because he is allergic to them.
Great recipe. Had everything on hand, the freah mushrooms and onions adds a lot the taste. It wasn't hard to make. Think I will add more minced garlic next time. What I liked is the use of cube steak in it. Tastey and another use for cube steaks. Comfort food.
This is a very simple recipe, which gets an A in my book. I did make a few changes because I didn't have everything. I used olive oil instead of margarine, onion buns in place of the kaiser rolls, and I didn't have any mushrooms. Because I had regular buns, I sliced the cube steak into strips. I had grated cheese on hand so I used that as well. I roasted potato wedges tossed with olive oil, sea salt, ground pepper, and italion seasoning. This recipe is definately staying on our regular menu!
