Rated 5 out of 5 by from I started my morning earlier than usual (day after Thanksgiving). I started my morning earlier than usual (day after Thanksgiving). I made all the sales since 4am so needless to say at the end of the day I was exhausted but still had supper to prepare. This recipe was a life-saver. I did use a full jar of cheese whiz and a can of rotel to spice things up. I will definetly make this again,no time at all to prepare and the family loved it!!

This recipe was fantastic, and pleased everyone in our family -- even the two picky teens! I substituted the Velveeta for the Cheez Whiz. The only thing I will do differently the next time I make it is cut back just a tiny bit on the amount of cheese -- the Velveeta made it a tad bit salty. I also substituted ground italian sausage for the ground beef for added flavor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just made this for dinner tonight...and the family loved it! Just made this for dinner tonight...and the family loved it! Very easy to prepare....love one-dish meals...will definitely make again! I added a half of a packet of taco seasoning to the meat after draining it, with just a couple tablespoons of water, before adding the rest of the ingredients....it was awesome! Thanks for the great recipe!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I make tator-tot casserole all the time--it is a family favorite. I make tator-tot casserole all the time--it is a family favorite. Rather than cheez-whiz and salsa it is much easier to just use two cans of Campbell's Fiesta Nacho Cheese Soup. Or if you prefer a milder flavor (as my kids do), use Cheddar Cheese soup. Sometimes I sprinkle a little shredded cheddar over the top if I have it on hand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Made this with velveeta cheese and my kids refused to eat it! Made this with velveeta cheese and my kids refused to eat it!! I even made them take a bite thinking they would like it after they tasted it and they did not. Not sure if it would have made a difference if I used Cheez Whiz. I am quite bummed that they did not like it as it was so easy to make!! I thought it was pretty good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My family loves this dish! My family loves this dish!! I honestly think it taste better if you use Campbell's Cream of Chicken or Cream of Mushroom Soup instead of the salsa. Taste so much better, very creamy. Follow the same directions just add the soup! I have never tried it with Cheez Whiz before, I just might try that tonight!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've been making this recipe for years and L-O-V-E it! I've been making this recipe for years and L-O-V-E it! It is a weekly standard in our house. My husband eats half then pan himself. And my kids always eat it with out any problems. (I can't say that about very many things.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good. Very good. I added a layer of green beans mixed with cream of mushroom soup after the meat and cheese (I omitted the salsa) and added the tator tots on top in one layer. I used the alphabet tator tots and my son loved it!
