I made this for our VBS supper, however with small children I was afraid they would not eat the cherries. We made Strawberry in the snow. We made the snow, strawberry pudding, snow and placed a fresh strawberry on top. We used an icecream scoop to place the snow and pudding in plastic cups so you could see the layers, This made it look like a snowball on top before placing the strawberry on. The kids and adults really liked it. Great Idea.

I have also made this same recipe but added a layer of some kind of chocolate pudding that I made that I had on hand--we love choclate covered cherries candy and with the pudding it tastes just like them!!! We found that we liked either the fudge chocalate pudding or the devils food chocolate pudding varieties the best as they have the deepest chocolate flavor!!!!!

I made this with the chocolate pudding as suggested by one reviewer, and it was HEAVENLY! I also used non-fat Cool Whip and low fat cream cheese - couldn't taste the difference! Incredibly rich, though. Next time I'll use the cherries, and my husband also suggested sliced strawberries - yum!

My 10 year old daughter helped me make this - it was a simple receipe for a beginning cook. We made this in a graham cracker pie crust which made it taste similar to a cheesecake. Our family loved it and were impressed with our 'new cook'.

I have also added angel food cake cut in cubes to the cream cheese mixture then layer it with the pie filling. I make this dessert a lot. Someone always asks for the recipe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I needed a fast dessert and didn't have much on hand. I needed a fast dessert and didn't have much on hand. When I made this, everyone really liked it and want it again. The only thing that keeps it from an excellent rating is that it is too sweet for my husband to eat often.
