I made a double batch for a Christmas party. Everyone loved it, great presentation and absolutely delicious. I am making it again today for another party.

What You Need

pkg. (1 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Fat Free Sugar Free Instant Pudding

1-1/4

cups cold fat-free milk

1/2

tsp. almond extract, divided

cup thawed COOL WHIP LITE Whipped Topping

Tbsp. PLANTERS Slivered Almonds, toasted, chopped and divided

can (21 oz.) light cherry pie filling

Make It

BEAT pudding mix, milk and 1/4 tsp. extract in medium bowl with whisk 2 min. Stir in COOL WHIP and 1 Tbsp. nuts.

MIX cherry pie filling and remaining extract. Spoon into 8 dessert glasses alternately with pudding mixture.

TOP with remaining nuts.

Spread nuts in single layer on baking sheet. Bake at 350°F for 5 to 7 min. or until lightly toasted.

Date leftovers so they can be used within 2 to 3 days. Discard perishable foods which have been stored in the refrigerator for more than 2 to 3 days.

Make Ahead

Desserts can be made ahead of time. Assemble as directed, but do not top with remaining nuts. Refrigerate until ready to serve, then top with remaining nuts.

this recipe was ok, it wasn't a favorite of mine. I used sugar free pudding & light pie filling, but it just wasn't the sweet fix I was looking for.

This is wonderful! I didn't have almonds, so I made it without, but I did put the almond extract in. Just as satisfying as my favorite cherry cheesecake pie without the fat and calories. No "diet" taste or texture. Husband and kids who don't normally care for "light" desserts loved it too.

I LOVE this. I use all low cal and fat free for my Dad and I and for the rest of my "skinny finiky" family, I use all regular, milk, jello Etc. The regular has a better, thicker texture, but I am completely satified when Im finished with the lite. This is WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!! My mother has used different fruits,Etc. trying to make this HER recipe, but .......not as good! This is perfect as is! Going to try on rest of BIG family tonight, useing both reg & lite w/out telling anyone. True taste test tonight!!

This was OK. I used cheesecake pudding instead of vanilla and added the almond extract but I found the cherries to be bland. I am watching my calorie/fat intake but I want flavor, too!

WOW!!!! This was really good!!! I did add a dollop of Cool Whip on top & sprinkled the toasted almonds on that dollop. This was really easy to make; looked & tasted superb! Will definately make again. I doubled the recipe to get 8 glasses.

I added bananas to the fruit layers with the cherries and it was wonderful.

I made this recipe at Christmas for my extremely picky family. I substituted graham cracker crumbs for the almonds, as well as vanilla extract for the almond extract. They loved it!!
