  • Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in cold water. Pour into 8-inch square pan. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.
  • Chop coarsely 2 of the cookies. Add to whipped topping; stir gently until well blended. Set aside. Cut gelatin into cubes; spoon evenly into 4 parfait glasses. Top evenly with the whipped topping mixture.
  • Serve immediately. Or, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Top each parfait with 1 of the remaining cookies just before serving.

Special Extra

Garnish with maraschino cherries just before serving.

It was quite good, and the kids are very excited to make it again for Valentines Day. Yes, indeed, it may be simple, but it is designed for children in mind. I commend Kraft for making recipes for young ones to make!

Even though it is simple, a child could make it, and having 9 younger siblings who love to cook, i know that they would have a lot of fun; it's easy enough that they could make it, but challenging enough FOR THEM that they could really think they did something special. Props to the inventor!
