Cherry Cloud Dessert

A creamy mixture of Neufchatel cheese, powdered sugar and almond extract is spread between layers of angel food cake and topped with cherry pie filling.

What You Need

4
oz.  (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese, softened
1/2
cup  powdered sugar
1/8
tsp.  almond extract
1
cup  thawed COOL WHIP LITE Whipped Topping
1
pkg.  (10 oz.) angel food cake
1
cup  canned cherry pie filling

Make It

BEAT Neufchatel, sugar and extract in large bowl with mixer until blended. Gently stir in COOL WHIP.

CUT cake horizontally into 3 layers. Stack layers on plate, spreading Neufchatel mixture between layers and on top of cake.

REFRIGERATE 1 hour. Top with pie filling.

Creative Leftovers
Refrigerate leftover cherry pie filling with the remaining COOL WHIP. Spoon over JELL-O Fat Free Chocolate Pudding Snacks just before serving.
Make Ahead
Prepared dessert can be stored in refrigerator up to 2 days before serving.
How to Cut Cake
Use toothpicks to mark cake into 3 layers. Use a serrated knife to cut cake, in sawing motion, into layers.
