  • Beat cake mix, eggs and dressing in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto greased baking sheets.
  • Bake 10 to 12 min. or until cookies are slightly firm to the touch. Cool completely on wire racks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An Old Favorite This recipe came out many years ago when Kraft would send them to your house in the mail. They aren't like your usual cookies but they're so simple, it's hard not to make them whenever you want homemade cookies. I find the timing is not very critical; they're hard to overbake. However I've never figured out how to tell when a chocolate cookie looks "done", so you need to experiment with the baking times. Feel free to add other ingredients or not use the nuts; it's a very forgiving recipe!

I would make this recipe again and only this one. It was the only cookie recipe I actually wanted people to taste.btw..my daughter thought it was gross that is was made with miracle whip I told her after she eat about four of them..she would have never guessed

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not my favorite cookie, but a very easy cookie. Not my favorite cookie, but a very easy cookie. Hubby asked if I used "betty crocker" because you have that "cake-mix" taste to it (which isn't a bad one at all). I would make this again as I often have chocolate cake mix and miracle whip handy, so when the unexpected pop over, it's quick and everyone eats chocolate.

I'm not sure what the other person was talking about when they said the cookies spread out?? Mine stay nice & rise, like cake. We call them "cakies" & they are a huge hit @ home and work.
