Even my little sister who doesn't eat anything with vegetables in it! I did some things different based on other reviews and it turned out perfect!I read that it was too rich so i added some milk to the chicken mixture and i also used fresh vegetables, I cut up potatoes, carrots, and onions, I also read that it was too runny so I added some more cheese, oh and I used frozen biscuits instead and they turned out perfect. My family loved it, and believe me to please a family of five (ALL five of them)is really hard to do! Love this recipe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent recipe. Excellent recipe. Super easy and tasty. There are never any leftovers when I cook this dish. Easy to customize by adding you own flare with spices. My family enjoys spicy food so I add some red pepper flakes and some ground red pepper to the chicken mixture. Use either a ready cooked chicken or, if I don't have one, throw some boneless chicken breasts and thighs into some chicken broth and water to boil just until done (20 minutes max). Also very easy to double this recipe which I also do to feed my crowd. Highly recommend this dish.

I completely overhauled this recipe to meet the needs of boyfriend who is completely ANTI-veggies (for the record, I love the original)! I mixed the cream of chicken soup and sour cream, added a can of mexicorn and a can of rotel (both drained), added 3 cups of shredded rotissere chicken, and a 1 1/2 cups of low fat mexican cheese blend. I seasoned this with dried cilantro and salt and pepper and topped it with the refridgerated buttermilk biscuits. After baking it I served it with taco sauce. Very tasty! Next time I will add either taco seasoning or chipoltes in adobo to spice it up a bit!

We poached some chicken breasts in chicken broth with steaks seasoning and seasoned salt for added flavor (approx. 30 mins). He also doubled the biscuit portion (Using Bisquick Baking Mix), because we love biscuits and we used a slightly larger casserole dish, so we needed more coverage. He also sprinkled cheddar cheese on the finished product. Really easy and tasty! Definitely comfort food on a weeknight!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great recipe. This is a great recipe. If my husband loved it and told me I should make it again, he really had to like it.....he is very hard to please when it comes to making new dishes....I also loved it. I give it 5 stars, and I will make it again. I boiled a whole chicken for chicken soup, and I used some of the boiled breast for the recipe. Oh by the way I didn't have Cream of Chicken soup so I use cream of mushroom soup instead....I will make it again using cream of chicken soup

Great stand-by recipe, everything keeps in the pantry (except for the veggies, frozen is better than canned). I use a 12.5 oz can of chicken breast and bisquick instead. I don't usually go for the canned chicken, but that brine flavor goes away when baked, I think. Some may like to add more seasoning. I've found it makes 3 adult servings, if this is all you have for dinner. Also, I've doubled the veggies at the cost of it being less saucy, but its still fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This recipe was in the fall 2008 Food & Family Magazine. This recipe was in the fall 2008 Food & Family Magazine. The picture looked so good......BUT.....when I made it, it was so nasty, a swanson chicken put pie tastes better This dish was way to dry and way to cheesy. The directions so not tell you to prepare the soup in any way except to add the sour cream and mix. Myabe is you added a 1/2 cup of water and then the sour cream and cut the cheese in half, it may taste better. I would only rate this one star.
