  • Heat dressing in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook 10 min. or until evenly browned, turning occasionally.
  • Stir in next 4 ingredients; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 20 min. or until chicken is done (165°F), stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti as directed on package, omitting salt.
  • Remove skillet from heat. Add Parmesan to chicken mixture; stir. Sprinkle with mozzarella; let stand 5 min. or until melted.
  • Drain spaghetti; place on platter. Top with chicken mixture.

Special Extra

Add 1/4 cup sliced black olives along with the peppers, tomatoes, tomato paste and garlic.

I'm changing to a much more healthy lifestyle and am constantly looking for recipes that are as tasty as high fat and high calorie dishes. This is very full of flavor and just hits the spot. I used a little bit more dressing, however it was light dressing so it was 15 calories/2 tbs. That cut a lot of calories out! Also, I used only 2 servings of frozen grilled chicken strips which were 100 calories per serving - made the recipe easier. I also used whole grain pasta (bought it by accident) which is about 30 calories less than the whole wheat (at least compared to what I saw at the store). This was such a great healthy recipe that didn't compromise on flavor a bit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This dish is awesome! This dish is awesome! I love the flavors and the fact that its under 500 Calories for an Italian home cooked hot meal. Its easily one of my top favorite recipes on this whole cite. Try it! I have often sub-ed red pepper for a green one if I don't have one or the price is too high in the winter. Its not as sweet in flavor but it works. Feel free to use any chicken or pasta you have on hand the recipe calls for bone in and spaghetti noodles- but I often use boneless chicken and angel hair pasta too.

The only thing I did different was I used boneless skinless chicken breast and sliced them thin. I also only used 1 red pepper instead of 2. I was afraid it wouldn't have enough tomato sauce, but it ended up being plenty. I used 1 can of organic diced tomatoes, and 1 can of organic tomato paste. Served with garlic bread. It was a quick and easy meal.

First, I added a small can of tomato sauce in addition to the paste (there was so little sauce with paste only). Second, I added seasoning (garlic powder, basil) to the sauce to add more flavor. Italian dressing is good, but the sauce just tastes like tomatoes if you don't doctor it up a bit. Great with bread and a salad!

I used chicken tenderloins and cut them into pieces.Then I added canned mushrooms, a mixture of red, orange and yellow bell peppers and some diced onion then I tossed the chicken mixture with the pasta and omitted the tomato paste, but used spaghetti sauce. I will definitely make this again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific dish! Terrific dish! I marinated the chicken in Italian dressing about 30 min. before cooking. I also added one small chopped onion, 1 tsp. Italian seasoning, and 3/4 cup dry white wine while cooking. I served the chicken over linguine, with a side of sauteed zucchini and onions. My entire family loved it and requested it as a "keeper"!

Italian food is not high on my husband's list of thing to eat, but he said he loved this one and would eat it again. At first he wasn't sure how it would all come togather but he was surprised. I used the whole grain spaghetti and I will use it again in more of my dishes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was easy and delicious. This was easy and delicious. I added 1 cup of frozen pearl onions and 1 small can of sliced mushrooms. I wanted more sauce so I also used a small can of tomato sauce and a dash of red wine. It tasted like it had cooked all day. Leftovers were even better.
