I did like this recipe -- made w/minute brown rice, fresh cooked bacon & seasoned the chicken. The minute brown rice I used took an extra 5-7 min, just check the box directions. Next time... I would add some onion & garlic at the beginning with the chicken. I'm not a huge peas fan, so broccoli would be a great substitution. Maybe mushrooms added? Using low sodium soup & brown rice -- great healthy easy week night recipe!

I thought that this recipe was very good and I would make it again, but I took the advice of another and added shrimp and brocolli instead of chicken and peas. My family enjoyed it more that way. The only thing I must point out is that you need to make sure to use MINUTE rice because normal rice will not cook quick enough.

It was so good that when my parents came over unexpectedly the next day, I made it again for lunch for them! My mom asked me for the recipe, and everyone loved it. The only thing I changed was that instead of using only peas, I used mixed vegetables.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very easy to make. Very easy to make. However, I added garlic and onions before cooking the chicken. I also added a little bit of cracked pepper and used Turkey Bacon instead of the Real Bacon Bits. My brother is vegetarian so I have to change the recipe a little bit for him as well. All in all, this dish is good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I actually substituted shrimp for the chicken and celery and broccoli for the peas. I actually substituted shrimp for the chicken and celery and broccoli for the peas. I also cooked and crumbled my own bacon. Overall it was very tasty--just make sure not to let it simmer too long or it will start to dry out. Will make again (maybe try chicken next time).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can't really pinpoint what I didn't like about it. Can't really pinpoint what I didn't like about it. My husband didn't like the peas. If I would make it again I would cook my own bacon rather than using bacon bits, but I doubt I will make this one again.
