  • Cook and stir chicken in large skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium-high heat 5 min. Add vegetables; cook and stir 5 min. Stir in water. Bring to boil.
  • Add pasta; stir until completely covered with water. Cover with lid; simmer on medium-low heat 15 min. or until pasta is tender. Stir in sauce.
  • Sprinkle with cheese. Cook, covered, on low heat 5 min. or until cheese is melted and pasta mixture is heated through, stirring occasionally.

Serve this fabulous Italian-style dish with a tossed green salad made with crisp romaine lettuce, halved cherry tomatoes and sliced cucumbers. Top with KRAFT Lite Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing.


Substitute 1 lb. Italian sausage or lean ground beef, crumbled, for the chicken.


Substitute 2 pkg. (6 oz. each) OSCAR MAYER Deli Fresh Grilled Chicken Breast Strips for the cooked fresh chicken pieces. Add with pasta sauce; continue as directed.


Omit water. Substitute 2 cups sauce for the 24-oz. jar. Cook pasta; drain. Cook chicken with vegetables as directed. Add pasta, sauce and 1 cup cheese; cook until heated through, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with remaining cheese; cover. Let stand 1 to 2 min. or until melted.

I thought the basic premise of this recipe was very good but it was just a little bland for our taste with the chicken. It did give me a great idea though. I cooked sausage and sliced it and then I cooked the pasta and sauteed the green pepper and onion separately with garlic. I put everything together in a baking dish with the sauce, covered it and baked for 30 minutes (at 350) and then added the cheese and baked for another 10 minutes uncovered. It was delicious!! Everyone had seconds and even thirds

A couple of modifications/additions I made to give it a bit more flavour: 1/2 tbsp garlic salt; 2 tbsp Italian seasoning; 1 tsp parsley flakes; sauteed mushrooms. Both my fiance and I thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact, he almost finished the entire thing in one sitting! This recipe is definitely a keeper and it will be added to my weekly rotation.

I did use red peper instaed of green, and I season my chicken and added minced garlic to it. I used a 4 cheese sauce and if you like veggies, I added cooked frozen spinach, when I put in the sauce. I added a little grated parm to my dish when is was done. Beautiful dish and delicious.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It was tasty enough to eat. It was tasty enough to eat. But in the end, I felt it was a little bland. To me it just tasted like spaghetti sauce. Maybe I will add less sauce if I make it again. I think more spices should be added to the recipe and/or the chicken should be marinated/seasoned. But having said that though, I went back for seconds and enjoyed it enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I used ground beef instead of the chicken. I used ground beef instead of the chicken. I really like the flavor of this. Another suggestion for the recipe is using Italian Sausage instead of chicken. Italian sausage in this would be great! I think mushrooms would be a nice addition as well. I'll have to add them the next time I make the recipe.

I also added fresh mushrooms and zuchini to the onions and green peppers, and it was really good. I also added an additional 1/2 cup of water... we are at high altitude and it seemed to need a bit more water. Turned out perfect.

It was fast, which was great...but there alot of other recipes on here that are just as fast and much better. Don't think I'll make this one again.

Had to add more water so that the noodles could be covered but it was delish! We used Barilla Garlic Pasta Sauce with garlic pieces in it, I think the choice of sauce definitely makes the dish!
