Ratings & Reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 by from As written, this recipe is awful! As written, this recipe is awful! I think someone summed it up best when saying the sauce was the consistency of wallpaper paste and had no taste. It was still not even edible after really increasing the Italian seasoning, garlic, salt and pepper. HOWEVER, I was able to rescue it by adding in some concentrated chicken broth (flavor equivalent to 2-3 cups worth with much less liquid volume). This thinned out the sauce just enough, and improved the flavor vastly. My husband and kids thought it ended well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I make this a couple times a month. I make this a couple times a month. It's easy and tasty. I usually add some milk to thin the sauce and I throw in whatever veggies I have handy (often use chopped zuchinni and sliced red bell pepper). You can always spice it up if it's too bland. I then serve it over bow-tie pasta. Good for a weeknight since it doesn't take a lot of prep work or time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This was, without a doubt, the worst recipe I have made in many years. This was, without a doubt, the worst recipe I have made in many years. I did exactly as the recipe called for. It came out the consistency of wallpaper paste and absolutely NO TASTE. I have leftovers and if I decide to finish them off perhaps a lot of garlic, onion, basil and added milk will help. If not, it will go in the garbage.

Picture make it look very desirable but as with other recipes using cream cheese it was pasty and tasteless. I used the Italian blend and extra spices to try to get it up to par but there was not enough "sauce" and no matter how I tried to bump it up it just didn't taste good. Next time I will use the concept but with Alfredo sauce.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from As is, the recipe is pretty blah. As is, the recipe is pretty blah. I added plenty of garlic, crushed red pepper, salt and pepper to try to give it some flavor. I also added some milk to thin out the thick "sauce." My end product was pretty good, but the actual recipe is definitely lacking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved the flavor of this recipe! Loved the flavor of this recipe! I did add salt and pepper and some garlic salt. The sauce needs thinning which I did by adding some chicken stock. Very good. I've also subsituted shrimp for chicken and it was delicious!
