what you need

Take 4 cups chopped cooked chicken and 3/4 cup MIRACLE WHIP Light Dressing and mix & match your recipe from these options . . .

add-in options	PLANTERS Nut choices	flavoring possibilities
sliced celery, chopped apples	Walnuts, chopped, toasted	GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard
halved red grapes, green onion slices	Slivered Almonds, toasted	curry powder
dried cranberries, drained canned mandarin orange segments	Chopped Pecans, toasted	dried tarragon leaves
shredded cabbage, green onion slices	Peanuts, chopped	OSCAR MAYER Real Bacon Bits

Then follow our 3 simple steps:

MIX chicken and dressing in large bowl until well blended.

ADD 1/2 cup each of the add-ins, 1/2 cup PLANTERS Nuts and 2 tsp. flavoring; mix well. Cover.

REFRIGERATE several hours or until chilled.

There is a local restaurant here called the Lily Pond and they have the BEST chicken salad. I've tried to find a recipe closest to theirs, and this is it! I used the grapes, celery, & pecans and it was awesome!! It's VERY close to the restaurants. LOVE IT!!

I have been making this recipe almost once a week for me and my sister's lunch. I use the apples, pecans, dijon and grape mixture. She doesnt like the grapes as much in hers but I think it makes the salad with them added in. We just love it! I have also tried cooked turkey and it taste just as great!

Made this salad for brunch style baby shower, comments from all the best salad on the table. I highly recommend this to all.

Fairly easy to make. I used frozen chicken and cooked it in the crock pot. It might add a little flavor to grill the meat with some seasonings. We definitely had to add a little more pepper.
