Chile Rellenos-Style Chicken Recipe

What You Need

small boneless skinless chicken breast halves (2 lb.)

pkt. SHAKE 'N BAKE Hot & Spicy Seasoned Coating Mix

1/2

cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar & Monterey Jack Cheeses

can (4 oz.) chopped green chiles, drained

Make It

HEAT oven to 400°F.

COAT chicken with coating mix and bake as directed on package.

COMBINE cheese and chiles; spoon over chicken.

BAKE 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

This was very good. Pretty spicy. Hubby loved it. I made it w/ bone in chicken since that was all I had on hand at the time. Made it with home made mashed potatoes. Yumm

This was just OK. The chiles had a strong taste. The store did not have the hot & spicy coating which may have been the difference.

Added salsa to chicken top, then the green chilis. Definitely will make again! I thought it was awesome.

SO good! I only had parmesan shake & bake so I added some southwest chipotle Mrs. Dash to it. Loved it.

Chiles Rellenos are poblano chiles stuffed with cheese and meat. The stuffed chiles are dipped in eggs and fried in oil. This is the correct way to make chiles rellenos.
