I saw this recipe this afternoon and since my fiance had cravings for "Wendy's Chili", I decided to give it a try. In the meantime, a couple of his friends dropped in and I, of course, invited them to join us. Well, there was not much left, but it was worth it to be told that "Mine" was better.....! I will definitly be keeping this recipe around. The only changes I made was to use Ranch Style Beans, and a beef base instead of broth so I could control the liquid content.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great and easy recipe! great and easy recipe! i did make one small change, and that was using peeled diced tomatoes, instead of buying whole ones and cutting them up (it's the same thing, and it saved a little time). i also added just a sprinkle of cayenne pepper to it to give it more of a kick. Loved it! will definitely make again!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I used round steak instead of the ground beef and it turned out great . I used round steak instead of the ground beef and it turned out great . . . I browned the meat then added the veggies, my husband is not a big tomatoe lover but he actually ate this and liked it enough to have seconds. I also used diced tomatoes instead of whole to save a bit of time . . .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was my first attempt at chili and it was really good. This was my first attempt at chili and it was really good. I left out the beef broth, it had enough liquid so it didn't seem to need it. I also used ground turkey instead of ground beef. My husband and I ate it for days, it was so good!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This came out far too watery for me. This came out far too watery for me. Next time I would omit the beef broth and use a tsp. of beef base instead. Also, I would not serve over rice and I think a can of green chiles would improve the flavor significantly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Making this chili again today for the 5th time. Making this chili again today for the 5th time. The best recipe I've found. I prefer chili beans but I do use the kidney beans as my husband prefers those. This recipe suits even my husband's picky chili tastes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice taste! Nice taste! I made this for Poker Night with the Tex-Mex Cornbread, and it was a big hit. Forgot to put out the s.c. or cheese, but no complaints. Used a pork/chuck blend that I processed at home. Very tasty!
