  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Microwave 8 oz. chocolate in large microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 minutes; stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla with wooden spoon until well blended. Add oats and baking powder; mix well. Stir in chopped chocolate, raisins and walnuts.
  • Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake 12 to 13 minutes or until cookies are puffed and shiny. Cool 1 minute; remove from baking sheets. Cool completely on wire racks.

If omitting nuts, add 1/4 cup flour to prevent the cookies from spreading too much during baking.

Substitute 1-1/2 cups BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks for the chopped chocolate.

  • About 40 cookies or 40 servings, 1 cookie each

The cookies were not what I expected. They were flat and the flavor is not as a regular cookie. I will try other recipes.

Delicious cookie. I did change it slightly, wanted to make 2 batches and only had one package of Baker's chocolate, so I used half in each. It still had plenty of chocolate flavor because of the quality product.
