Chocolate Candy Bar Dessert

What You Need

cups finely crushed FAMOUS Chocolate Wafers

1/2

cup sugar, divided

1/2

cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

tub (12 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided

cup chopped chocolate-coated candy bars, divided

cups cold milk

pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Chocolate Instant Pudding

Make It

MIX wafer crumbs, 1/4 cup of the sugar and the butter in 13x9-inch pan. Press firmly onto bottom of pan. Refrigerate 10 min.

BEAT cream cheese and remaining 1/4 cup sugar in medium bowl with wire whisk until well blended. Gently stir in half of the whipped topping. Spread evenly over crust; sprinkle with 3/4 cup of the chopped candy bars. Set aside. Pour milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. Pour over candy bar layer. Let stand 5 min. or until thickened.

SPREAD remaining whipped topping over pudding layer. Refrigerate 2 hours or until set. Top with remaining 1/4 cup chopped candy bars. Store in refrigerator.

Simply smashing dessert!!! Made it for a potluck barbeque and was very impressed. The dish is ridiculously easy, sinfully delicious, very low cost, easy, features readily available ingredients, and ... did I mention it was EASY?

Recipe was easy to make and simple ingrediants. Makes a pan full enough for a family gathering or social function. Great to take along for a potluck dinner. Tasted wonderful. I used Milky way candy bars and used a combination of oreo cookies and chocolate graham crackers for the crust. Just crush them up real fine and blend together. Wonderful!

It was Ok but nothing special. Works good if you are in a hurry though.

I made this dessert for my kids a couple of years ago. I made the version with OREO cookie crumbs instead of wafers. It was a hit with my kids and their friend. It tastes heavenly.

i made this dessert for a home party i had and everyone loved it. next time i will substitute the chocolate pudding for some other type.

I have never been able to try this dessert because I always bring it to someone's house and it is gone before I get a chance to get a bite. I take that to mean its fantastic.

This is my families favorite dessert. I have made it dozens of times with variations of candy bars and cookies for the crust. I have been asked for the recipe over and over by friends once they have tried it. It is fondly referred to as "the pudding".

It is a very easy recipe to substitute. I used vanilla wafers instead of chocolate. Yummy. Any kind of candy bar would be wonderful with this recipe.
