  • Spread 1 cup cherry pie filling onto bottom of crust. Beat pudding mixes and milk in medium bowl with whisk 2 min. Stir in 1-1/2 cups COOL WHIP; spread over cherry layer in crust.
  • Spoon remaining COOL WHIP around edge of pie to form 1-inch border. Fill center with remaining cherry pie filling.
  • Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm.

Spreading the pudding mixture over the cherries was a little difficult because it was so thick. I added a little vanilla extract into the cherries just to make it a little more interesting. I couldn't resist eating two pieces! :O

This pie makes for a beautiful presentation and everyone will think you bought it but the taste isn't quite as good. Something just seems to be missing, I am not sure what though. On the whole though, a good pie.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This was ok. This was ok. I used sugar-free cherry pie filling and would definitly not use that again. I think if you used regular cherry pie filling it would have been better. But I probably still won't make this again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good pie-not too overwhelming. Good pie-not too overwhelming. Had problem with piping cool whip around edges. Looked great at first then the cool whip softened and fell and was a mess! Stuck pie in freezer to help stiffen the cool whip.

It is easy to make and comes out great. The only thing i do different is i just put the cherrie so top.
