It's a very simple recipe to follow and the kids have a blast mashing up the bananas. We usually add semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips instead of the chunks. The final baked result is a moist bread with a wonderfully sweet crust. This one is a keeper.

I was so excited to make my first banana bread, however, I was quite disappointed with the outcome. After 75 minutes of baking, it was still under done in the very centre, felt as heavy as a brick, and was quite mediocre. I was hoping for a nice light fluffy bread. I guess the search is still on.

Very good bread but I used dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet and probably only used 1/2 cup of chocolate so mine was not quite as sweet as I'd like. Next time, I'd add more chocolate or perhaps add a bit of brown sugar to sweeten it up a bit. Really good, though!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This banana bread was a big hit in my home. This banana bread was a big hit in my home. It tastes sweeter than most even the crust formed on the top. My 17 year old came in and ate half the loaf. I shaved little semi sweet chocolate laces into it. My next I am going to try nuts as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This bread is delicious! This bread is delicious! It's also a great foundation recipe for other breads too, for example instead of using mashed bananas I tried it once with pureed blueberries and it was also amazing! Definitely going to experiment with this! :D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME! AWESOME! I've made this bread twice and the first time I cut the recipe in half and it still made a nice sized loaf. It's a GREAT quick bread or snack to have ready in an hour.
